Hi, my name is Julie and I live in Weymouth, Dorset. I have always owned rabbits, currently owning 6 myself and they are all rescue. Rabbits are the 3rd most popular pet in Britain, but, they are also the most neglected.
I wanted to help in some way as the rescue centre’s are full with long waiting lists. I looked into fostering rabbits for local rescue centre’s, but unfortunately they don’t do this.
Many people who can no longer look after their pet rabbit are not aware of rescue centre’s or rabbit adoption sites. Therefore, I decided to set up my own rescue centre where owners bring their rabbit(s) safe in the knowledge I will find them a good home.
I run solely on donations and have no funding. This makes it difficult to carry out my goals as all the rabbits that come into my care need to be neutered, vaccinated and wormed and then there is the cost of the food and bedding. If there is any way you can help, no matter how small, please visit the “donate” page by clicking here.
